The item upgrade system allows players to improve the stats of trinkets, armors and weapons. It also provides unique effects and procs.

For example the glyph of Valda increases the range of all ranged units by 1 which is an impressive increase for units that have slow movement rates (such as the Marro Stinger line or 4th Massachusetts). This glyph is also useful for melee units that would otherwise struggle to reach the right position to deal harm.
Certain glyphs, such as the Discretionary Ligatures glyph are designed to improve the font's visual appearance. item upgrader may include additional characters beyond the standard collection. This is done to make fonts look more realistic or to add extra decorative elements.
The Glyphs Panel menu allows players to create an individual Glyph set by selecting the glyphs they want to add to it. After they have added a custom glyph set, players can then look it up in the Glyphs panel menu by selecting View Glyph Set and then selecting the name of the glyph set.
item upgrades are similar to the berries in that they enhance your attributes forever, but unlike berries, they increase all your attributes except HP. Growth Stones are obtained by completing some events in the game or by combining 2 of them in the Nitro Cube. They can also be earned as rewards during the Ancient Arena season.

Item Enhancers can be purchased from the Aeos Emporium for 10 Aeos Tickets per item, however they are also available through the events for free that Pokemon Unite hosts from time to time. These special in-game events are able to distribute Item Enhancers to mark the achievement of a certain point or be included in an event that has the duration of a specific time.
Most items increase their stats in a linear manner as they upgrade however the final stats of a Held Item can be more than twice the initial value after it has maxed out. For example the Muscle Band increases its attack and defense stats by +1 each time it is upgraded to level 2, however when it reaches level 20, the stats are +15 attack and +7.5 percent attack speed.
These Item Enhancers are costly however, they are necessary for anyone who wants their performance to be maximized in Pokemon Unite. It can be a real struggle to upgrade all the Held Items to their maximum level, but those who are determined and patient will eventually succeed.
